MBBR Filler and Why Choose JUNTAI MBBR

MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) filler is like a home for microorganisms in the wastewater treatment process. It's a special kind of material that gives these tiny creatures a place to live and thrive, helping to break down pollutants in the water. And when it comes to choosing a filler, JUNTAI MBBR stands out.

JUNTAI MBBR filler is designed with the laws of fluid mechanics in mind. Its unique shape and structure provide a large effective specific surface area, which means more space for microorganisms to attach and grow. The filler is made of high-quality macromolecular materials that have been modified to be extra strong and resistant to damage. This ensures that it can withstand the harsh conditions of wastewater treatment for a long time.

The surface of JUNTAI MBBR filler has been treated using advanced technology. This makes it more conducive to the adhesion and growth of microorganisms. The special structure and size of the filler also improve the mass transfer efficiency of the system, allowing for better exchange of nutrients and oxygen between the water and the biofilm.

One of the biggest advantages of JUNTAI MBBR filler is its ability to support a large amount of biomass. This means that more microorganisms can live and work on the filler, breaking down pollutants more effectively. The filler provides a suitable environment for various types of microorganisms, including both heterotrophic and autotrophic bacteria. This creates a balanced ecosystem that is essential for the biological removal of nitrogen and phosphorus.

The MBBR Process

The MBBR process is a proven method for wastewater treatment that has been used for over 30 years. It relies on specially designed plastic carrier media that are neutrally buoyant and have a high specific surface area. These carriers provide a large surface area for biofilm attachment and growth.

The MBBR process consists of two main phases: the Fluidized Bed phase and the Floating Bed Filter phase. During the Fluidized Bed phase, the carriers are aerated, which supplies oxygen, mixes the water, and helps control the biofilm and sludge. In the Floating Bed Filter phase, the carriers float and adsorb contaminants, allowing for biofilm growth and simultaneous nitrification and denitrification.

One of the unique features of the MBBR process is the use of a non-aerated phase. This differs from traditional processes and results in significant energy savings and improved performance. The use of dissolved oxygen (DO) sensors and control further enhances this by providing aeration only when it is needed.
