What are the categories of Juntai MBBR media?
Here are several distinct kinds of MBBR media:
Sponge - like carrier:
Sponge - like MBBR media carriers boast high mechanical strength, a large specific surface area, and a rough surface texture, making them highly suitable for biofilms. The spongy material is extremely flexible, but it tends to wear out more readily than some other varieties.
Chip - like carriers:
Chip - like carriers are thin and feature a high density of fine pores. They are also highly flexible and have strong resistance to wear and tear.
Coin - like carriers:
The benefit of thin coin - like media carriers is that wastewater can be filtered into them from both sides of the media, so they have little impact on fouling. Some thin chip - like media carriers are in a coin - shaped form.
Tubular carriers:
Long and narrow tubular carriers offer a greater surface area of MBBR media for microbial growth. Their shape also enables them to be evenly suspended in the water column instead of piling up on one another. However, due to their hollow structure, they can sometimes be susceptible to scaling.
